Physical Demands
While performing duties of the job, the incumbent will be exposed to Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on the computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face. This position requires incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Aerospace / Engineer, Mechanical Level 1, 2, 3 (see Note A below)

Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance.
Must have progressive ME/AE aircraft experience working in a design engineering and production environment and have the capability to make real-time engineering decisions as issues occur on the production floor while ensuring that safety, certification, and configuration control is maintained.
Must be able to easily distinguish between engineering issues that do, and do not, affect safety.
Must be able to interpret Air Force Technical Orders and aircraft mechanical modification drawings and designs from various OEMs and in various formats.
Must be able to quickly generate Engineering Orders (E.O.s) and drawing redlines that document changes made on the production floor, while strictly adhering to the existing Data Management (DM) process.
Must be knowledgeable in the design, integration, operation, and installation of aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Must have experience in performing structural analysis, and have an understanding of aircraft structural design requirements.
Must have experience in the design and development of mechanical, structural, pneumatic and mechanical systems for new aircraft modifications, and proficient in the use of USAF program JEDMICS (Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System)
Must have the ability to develop aircraft modification drawing packages in compliance with ASME Y14.100. Must have experience in the development of technical reports, and the ability to develop comprehensive and accurate technical documents.
NOTE A: Engineer Qualifications – Levels 1, 2, and 3
Level 1 (Entry Level) – Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR mathematics/physical science degree with an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate. One (1) years of direct experience in a relevant engineering activity is required.
Level 2 (Journeyman Level) – Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR mathematics/physical science degree with an EIT Certificate. Four (4) years direct experience in a relevant engineering activity is required.
Level 3 (Senior/Lead Engineer) – Bachelor’s degree (Master of Science preferred) in engineering OR mathematics/physical science degree with an EIT Certificate. Seven (7) years direct experience in a relevant engineering activity is require
